Nigerian singer and Afro-dancehall hitmaker, Timaya releases both the audio and visuals for his new song “Gra Gra.”
Coming after his successful 2020 debut single “Born To Win,” “Gra Gra” is a track off his forthcoming album “Gratitude.” The song has him speaking about his life’s achievements with humility.
Inetimi Timaya Odon, 43, better known as Timaya (Papichulo), is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He is the founder of D.M. Records Limited.
Timaya’s phenomenal career kicked off in 2005 with the release of “Dem Mama”, which was also on his debut album, True Story (2006). In 2008, he released his second album, “Gift and Grace.”
His third studio album, De Rebirth (2010), gave him more visibility in partnership with Black Body Entertainment, and its lead single “Plantain Boy” was commercially successful.
LLNP (Long Life N Prosperity) album was released in 2011, collaborating with Dem Mama Soldiers. In 2012, Timaya released “Upgrade,” which produced hits “Bum Bum”, “Sexy Ladies”, and “Malonogede”. Other albums to date are Epiphany (2014) and Chulo Vibes E.P. (2019).
The multi-talented singer has earned several notable awards and nominations, including The Headies, AFRIMMA Awards, and Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA).
