Known not only for her sultry voice but her fashion style and statements and odd video concepts, Ghanaian American Amaarae has released audio and visuals for her newest single ‘Fancy’ which is rumoured to be part of a forthcoming EP ‘The Angel You Don’t Know’. We suspect this is from the proverb or saying “The devil you know is better than the angel you don’t know.” Her last single “Leave Me Alone” which was released in July is also said to be part of this EP.

Produced and co-written by KZDidIt, Fancy is dedicated ‘to the bad bitches and the bad bitches alone’. Amaarae encourages women to embrace their beauty, excesses and wild desires while being confident. The video, directed by David Nicol-Sey, further emphasises this, you see women looking ‘fancy’ wearing bright coloured clothes and strutting like they own the world.
According to her fans, Amaarae has no bad songs and very often, we live vibing to her songs and feeling powerful. All we can say is that we can’t wait for her forthcoming work ‘The Angel You Don’t Know’. There’s a possibility that she releases another single before releasing the full-length work. We await it with joyous hearts and fitting moods.
