Runtown is back with a banger ‘Kini Issue‘ and that 8-month break seems to be worth it.
The ‘International Badman Killer’ Runtown has released his second track of the year, a follow-up to Body Riddim where he featured Ghana’s Darkovibes and Nigeria’s Bella Shmurda, released in January.
The 31-year old superstar is a singer, songwriter and producer and signed to his own record label, Soundgod Music Group. He dabbles in genres like R&B, Afro-fusion, Hip-hop and Reggae.
Produced by DJ Khalyeb and Biggie Jazzy, Kini Issue is premised on the character dismissing issues with lyrics like “Might let bygones be bygones” while asserting that if his hand is forced, he might “buss his guns.” He also talks about how he loses focus because of his girl and how she makes him sing her love songs on the radio. The artiste is in a confirmed relationship with Australian model, Adut Akech so we suspect she’s the inspiration behind his lyrics, wink. Kini Issue is also the first single off the artiste’s forthcoming project.
Runtown is a fan favourite because he releases no bad songs. From Mad Over You in 2016 which was a massive hit locally and internationally to his recent EP, Tradition released in 2019 and now, Kini Issue. Make sure to listen and leave feedback.
