Fan Favorite: 2Baba’s ‘Opo’ featuring Wizkid [Music Video]

Based on popular demand, ‘Opo‘ is one of the most loved and played tracks off 2Baba’s 7th studio album, ‘Warriors’ earlier released in February.  Now, we have a video!

Shot by award-winning Nigerian music video director, Clarence Peters, ‘Opo’ music video was released early this month, a follow up to ‘We Must Groove’ featuring Burna Boy. The video captures the two music legends, 2Baba, and Wizkid with a group of colourfully dressed dancers in an all-white space.

‘Opo’ means ’plenty’ in Yoruba origin and this standout single is an ode to the plenteous, mouth-opening, and logic-defying endowments of African women.

Innocent Ujah Idibia also known as 2-Face or 2Baba is one of Nigeria’s greatest pop acts of all time. His role in the rise of contemporary Nigerian pop music – call it the sound of 21st century Africa – to global prominence cannot be overemphasised.

From African Queen (2004) to We Must Groove (2020), his distinctive blend of reggae, R&B, and traditional African music creates a universal vibe while without losing its Africanness.
